Invite to Families
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO INVITE YOUTH AND FAMILIES TO PARTICIPATE
Ontario’s Moving on Mental Health plan aims to improve the way child and youth mental health services are delivered across the province. The goal is to offer consistent, coordinated and effective mental health services that make sense for youth. Child and youth mental health agencies throughout Ontario are in the planning stage of improving these services, and it’s important that we hear directly from youth and families.
Canadian Parents for French
Our board was granted the opportunity for some of our parents to watch a free 30 minute webinar that they can watch in the privacy of their own home to support their child/ren in grades 4-6 with their French education, at absolutely no cost to our parents!
This opportunity was generously provided to us by Canadian Parents for French, which is an organization dedicated to promoting the French language and culture.

Update on Parking at SJAM
Student safety is a priority at SJAM, and we continue to work toward a reasonable solution for the parking at peak times at Sir John A. Macdonald School.
Please note the following:
SJAM admin and staff are working to address the current parking issues that have come to light as a result of the parking enforcement being carried out on Harder Drive:
SJAM school council, past and present, have been supportive of the school in trying to address concerns about student safety related to parking, drop-off and pick-up areas.
The support of SJAM’s School Council Chairperson, along with council members, has been greatly appreciated as an integral part of the problem-solving process.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ms. Wand at Sir John A. Macdonald School.
Board of Trustees
School board trustees are elected officials who are responsible for operating publicly-funded schools within their jurisdiction, and for the delivery and quality of educational programs and services. Legal accountability for Board decisions applies to the Board as a corporate entity rather than to individual trustees. Two student trustees are elected each year by the Student Senate to serve a one-year term on the Board. Click here to read more.
